After months of scanning Craigslist for a decent home gym, I just picked up an excellent Parabody Smith Machine. I was about to pick up the Powertec Multi Gym when I saw this smith machine on Craigs. It came with all the attachements (except for pec attachment) and the bearings are flawless. This thing glides with absolutely no catch points.

Going to give it the first serious test this evening,,,, can't wait

The Parabody smith machine is set up for free weights also with multiple front safety catches. It was a great find.

Good for both of you! What kind of leg press is it Diezel? Inverted or 45 degree?

Kerry, I've always found it hard to find BIG dumbbells on craigslist. Now if you wanted 3s thru 20s, you can find those but most people who can lift the big ones, tend to keep them...imagine that!

i wish i knew was the maximum weight supported was. i can't find this info ANYWHERE..

yeah i hear ya.lotsa weight, In my experience, buying 2nd hand weight is the best, if you can find someone that really just wants to get rid of them, other than that, here in canada, they are about 90c/lbs (depending)..

I actually got my weight machine off a quebec online classified site. machine regular 1400, but i paid half that

I think Kevin actually got a leg press machine too, although i don't know what type..i think he got even a better deal than i did

yeah buddy, apparently it's a challenge to move around, i'll have to take it apart in the backyard
and bring the pieces in one by one lol.. Say, what brand/type of leg press do you have? i recall you got a great deal on yours too..

ohh that's a nice one.. wow, 1500lbs capacity!

We've gotten a little more than 1100 lbs. on it. I need to break down & buy 100 lb. plates. We need a little bit of a surge in membership to do that though!

yeah i hear ya, i think i'll need some more poundages eventually too. i figure i only have about 450 (including non-olympic weights, that i would find a way to pile on..)

Well, i gave the leg press a run yesterday, did about 4-5 sets progressively and same with hack squats.. i'm actually dissapointed that i'm not in pain as much as i would have expected.. perhaps i need to up my intensity a bit..

Give your legs another day or so, you might get sore yet!
