Sylvia Grant

My name is Sylvia Grant and I'm 5'10, 140 lbs and I'm 47 years old. I started competing last year at SNBF. My hobby is working out and basketball to stay fit. I love working on my abs. My training philosophy consists of inspiring young and old by my example because I love being a role model for women of all ages. My favorite exercise is the inner and outer abductor.

While attending Perimeter College in Covington, GA, I met a young lady named Regina Barnett. She approached me and asked me if I worked out and I told her yes. She gave me information on a Supernatural Body Fitness Show in July 2008. I went to this show and I was inspired by my husband to compete because I was always exercising. I entered my first show in October 2008 and came in 4th place. This event made me want to do more to improve my overall appearance so I made it my goal to do my best to look better each time I was in a fitness competition.

My training philosophy is to eat healthy, work hard, and don't be discouraged by anyone because the only significant people I have to impress are my husband and my family.

It's very important to eat right. I eat brown rice, baked chicken, broccoli every two hours for a week. The next week I eat baked tilapia, white potatoes, and spinach. I alternate this diet plan each week.

My role models are Angela Basset, Gabrielle Union, & Demi Moore because they look so healthy each time I see them on the movie screen.

Hi Sylvia. I wish I had the discipline to get my abs like yours. I'm getting better but I need more guidance in the home gym.
