good evening,

I've been gone a while, but time to ask some more questions from those who compete in powerlifting out there...

I'm asking in this thread what you do in the ... oh... three weeks leading up to meet day, and then the actual meet itself...

watch your weight, lift heavier and heavier, maintain, some combination leading up...

and on meet day... bang your head into lockers, yell, pray, what does it for you???

first lifter I ever got to a state powerlifting meet did... nothing...

we weighed him, he ate a light breakfast, warmed up, and curled up with his headphones and slept til ten minutes before he lifted... got up, did the lift, went back to sleep... NEVER asked what he was lifting next, NEVER looked at the lights... nothing...

that's one example of many... I'm still looking for My 'thing', and hopin for inspiration from the lifters out there...
