Last Friday afternoon my right forearm began hurting just below my elbow. This came after an intense arms workout that morning. I did not do anything in particular that was very different than my normal arms workout day and it did not hurt until after I was finished. Throughout the weekend the pain persisted and today I purchased a band for tennis elbow and use it during my chest and back routine and it helped me get through.

Any comments as to what it is and how long to work through it?

I had a similar issue after an intense biceps day (I had added 10lbs to my sets w preacher curls). I couldn't straighten my arms without bad pain for 3 days. It caused pain in my lower biceps and upper forearm around the crease opposite my elbow.

This had happened 1 time previously and in my case I think I overworked my arms and didn't stretch properly afterwards. Also, in both cases I hadn't been drinking my usual 2 gallons of water per day.

So, my recommendation would be to give your arms a break for a few days and stay hydrated. Stretch the arms out periodically throughout the day. My arms seemed to hurt worse the longer I went without straightening them. It was the worst case of DOMS I had ever experienced. I hope this is all that is going on with you and not something more serious! Keep us posted and Iwish you a speedy recovery!
Pain is not my enemy. It is my call to greatness.

Your description of what you experienced is exactly the same and the same spot in both just below the elbow and my lower bicep and I didn't stretch afterwords as well.

It took 3 or 4 days to return to normal. In my case I had moved up weight a bit too soon... but I really think it had to do with a lack of hydration and stretching. It will be sore to straighten the arm or arms out but you may find the longer you keep them bent the worse it will feel. I couldn't even walk normally with my arms at my side. I walked around with my arms bent like a t-rex for 2 days, much to the amusement of my coworkers and girlfriend.

I also soaked a few times in a hot bath with some epsom salts. Maybe this will help you. Stay hydrated! That's the best advice I can give to anyone who works out. It seems to help with DOMS.
