An awesome Creator controls my future...thats my belief system and I am sticking to it. :)
I am 16 days out from walking across that stage in Las Vegas and only a few months out from my second half marathon.

Wow, I am one blessed lady to be able walk down this unfamilar path. I never knew the price I would have to pay when I began this journey but it is has been worth it all. I am so thankful for all of those people whom have been placed in my life, to give me that extra push when I wanted to stop and call it quits.

I am still praying much and working even harder. Be blessed all keep moving forward.

Congratulations on walking out your faith! All your hard work has paid off and maybe some of us are blessed to be able to read your journal and draw inspiration from your walk as well!

:blah:
Before I exit this planet there are still a lot of things I would like to achieve. The older I become the faster I have to speed things ups. I can’t believe I have been hanging out on this planet for almost fifty years. :D

Wow, it seems like only yesterday I was a bright and shiny 18 year old ready to take on the world. Well, 31 years later I am still ready for the next adventure, admittedly I am a little duller and I possess a soften glow that comes with time. The young sassy young pup has transformed into :eek:a frisky old dog and I love this crazy thing called life.
I pasted on my posing suit, and I tipped toed across that figure competition stage in Las Vegas.

It was another wild and crazy ride in the life of me, I can truly say I am one blessed and satisfied woman.

:wave:The magical moments in life is when the dream is made manifest. Live your dreams people, never give up on yourself, within you lies greatness,

I'm just praying that on race day the weather is mild and pleasant.

anyhoo, that is just a glimpse into wild and wacky world, I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and that the remaining days of this year will fruitful and productive:clapping:

I am a firm believer in going the extra mile but and extra 26.2 sounds like a bit much.
Yes, the plan is to go the marathon distance after I finish my half marathon in a few weeks.:blah: So it looks as though I will devote the first part of the year to running, swimming, cycling and that sort of thing with weight training as part of the mix. And the latter part of the year will be devoted entirely to bodybuilding with only minute portions of cardio added. :clapping:

Sounds like a plan to me. 2011 is going to be a year of unexpected transformation, where anything is possible. :clapping: Live well and always ask your self this one question...

Is your temporary pleasure going to cause you long term pain? :hmm:

I am less than a week away from marathon. It is going to be a beautiful experience. I enjoy being surrounded by people who know they are Champions. The Champions who know it press past, failure, fear, doubt, obstacles, and anxiety to realize their dreams. They put in the painful hours, the hard work and they forgo instant gratification in order to experience ultimate satisfaction.

Then of course there are the Champions that haven't realized it yet. They are too afraid to fail, they are still controlled by emotions and notions, that tell them that they cannot do it. They cling to excuses and settle for less, unaware of all the greatness that wants to erupt from within. My prayer ,for those who do not know that they are Champions, is that they will open up their eyes before the time meter on life expires. May they share all of their greatness with the rest of us. My prayer for those who know they are Champions is that they will continue to improve, discover and become.

Life really is like a marathon, we each have our own race to run. Our own challenges to overcome. We have to discover what techniques work best and which do not. Some will finish the race, others will drop out, some will stand on the sideline cheering and others will simply dream about it and never get started.

Run your own race people, never give up on your dreams, and don't let anyone snatch your hope. You will always be a Champion whether you realize it or not.

.....Realize it!

Very insightful. Wow,, less than a week to your marathon. Still remember when you were barely a runner,, you've come so far.

Thanks for the Inspiration!

 Yes, I often feel like the wayward granny running to and fro..but I am still pumping the iron and after race day I will be even more devoted to weight training, romancing the iron and getting my mind in figure competition mode. :weights: well, we will add a little cycling and swimming to the mix:woohoo:

:woohoo: 26.2 What a marathon. Yes, I edged my way over the finish line. I had to fight blowing sand with wind gust up to 40 miles an hour. It was crazy, it was wild but I finished and now the Bataan Memorial Death march marathon is simply a painful but beautiful part of my evolution as a person.

My mind is raring to jump into the next phase of training, time to work on a little physique transformation. Yes spring is in the air time to embrace a little cycling and swimming to the regime as continue to imbrace the weights.

Pray for me people swimming and cycling are not strong points but hopefully this year will take all of that away form me. Yep here I go again:huh:

Thank you kind sir, your encouragment is indeed appreciated, may you be blessed.
 One mission ends and another awaits, my goal for the next 120 days is to develop a solid base in swimming, increase my time in the saddle, perfect my 5k speed and put in some solid weight training. I have triathlon expectations, but I also have a figure competiton in the near future. I have lower body power :weights: but I have to work on upper body strength. :woohoo:

My training schedule is going to be wild but I have faith that I will recover between training session  Yes, the remainder of 2011 is going to be awesome.
