 They made this little body lift hard and heavy today. Granted I haven't lifted as heavy since I started running. I still eeked out a little over 6 miles today. Posing is soon to become my new best friend but I am trying to make peace with all this protein that I am suppose to consume.

Wow, this is a wild ride, I am ten weeks out ,my body is feeling the pain, but she is adapting and growing so we must be doing something right. I am still doing half marathon training so the soreness of the moment never completely wears off.

Instead of being torn between two lover, I have decided to embrace them both. I think my body as expects the amount of drama and trauma it recieves on a daily basis. :blah: The hardest part thus far is posing, posing and more posing. It really does look easier than what it is.

Keep praying for me people, and stay focused on your goals.

Lift

Lift, for me writing is synonymous with life. I am convinced when I took my first breath I inhaled, colors, taste, texure, vibrations and all sorts of jazzy sensations. This all lay bottled up inside of me like a woman yearning, pleading to go into labor. The moment I could write my first word it was released.... bam. I was able to flood sterile blank pieces of white paper with my colorful emotions.

Everything that entertained my senses became writing material. My mother just wasn't mom.. she became this gorgeous raven haired goddess, with soft warm eyes and ......yes, I could probably write a novel about a drop of sweat....

Most of my livelihood falls under business/ arts and entertainment/fitness umbrella, but I do get to do my fair share of writing.

Today’s training was awesome, it was as though I entered some mysterious Forbidden Zone. My body has been unshackled from the angst of monthly womanhood dues.

:DLiberation felt so good that my morning run was pure ecstasy. I was drenched in this dewy coat of euphoria; it was an amazing natural high.

:clapping: That forty minute tempo run was simply an appetizer. Weight training was a full course meal and I over consumed a little iron. Then I went one on one with the abs, it was just desserts.

This was one of those top of the line workouts that I crave. Everything just came together and bang it was all so very good.

Today I was in love with life and it loved me back, hmm it was a really good day.

 Life can be sweet, enjoy those precious moments. Yeah I know I have 65 day until I pop this old carcass on the stage and under the lights this is gonna be another wild ride in the life of me.

When I train, I have to go into this crazy zone, it feels like I am in a battle zone
and my goal is to fight for what I want, to feel the muscle as it moves to become
totally in tune with my body. :blah:

To demand a little bit more of my body than I did the last training session. Granted this does not always happen but it is always my goal. My training sessions mold, shape and sculpt my physique. I take each session very serious. The same can be said for my nutrition.

:D Food is my fuel and the building blocks for this old body. If I want junk in the trunk, well all I have to do is eat lots of junk. If I want to keep it hard and tight, I consume the good stuff.

Good nutrition and a solid training session is the perfect union and it does this body good:having said that I was a woman on a mission today. Mission for today is wrapped up.
Get your game on everybody and rock this thing.
I really do intend to give it my all.

:)Time To pump it up a little
live the dream everyone live it

 They are trying to kill me over here. I feel like a well love doggie toy that has seen better days. I have to fight for each and every ounce of definition. It is a wild and crazy ride. I am a battered, torn and shattered shell of a woman whimpering softly under the iron. This is my fate, part of my destiny, I just accept it and slowly move forward. :blah:
The half marathon training is bound with the figure competiton training. I have tormented by body doing both Last weigh in I was 117.2 at 10% body fat.

My body is comfortable at 10% but we want to shake it up and drop it a little lower  I don't want a ounce of anything extra when I run that half marathon. My plan is to be at 115, that would make me a true light weight. strategy and speed is everything in a race and that all deals with how well I train, Now a figure competiton well that is all subjective, seriously I would rather be a competitor than a judge. :blah: Dang I better go apparently I have an opinion on everything :D

:hmm:Today I was really hoping I was a figment of my own imagination. I really did not want to be me today. I felt like forming my own it sucks to be me club. The gray cloud of gloom was camped over my head the moment that gosh darn alarm clock frazzled me out of my solid slumber.

:rolleyes:I was tired, sore and cranky translated I did not want to train today. I wanted to rebel and take a day off. I just want to be act like a double B ( big baby ) and have my way. Well, I had to promptly stow that fantasy for another time in history. We are 6 weeks out from the stage and I have a half marathon calling my name. Paying the price is killing me but I feel good in a bad sort of way. Pray for me people.

My prayer for today; gratitude, thanks for making me stronger than I think I am.

:) hang strong during the times of hard stuff so you can experience and enjoy the good stuff.

Sounds like the day started out tough but your attitude (and faith) pulled you through.

I like that,, I like to think that in prayer more time should be spent thanking and less time asking.

Thanks for being an inspiration!

:blah: I am one week from my half marathon...yep, months of training and desire about to collide. I pray that it will be a beautiful experience. Pray that I will remain strong, stay injury free and share the kindness and love on race day.

:blah: That also means I am 5 week out from my figure competition, pray that I will have a safe journey, comfy hotel beds, and have an all around enjoyable experience.:)

Well, my workouts have been intense, posing is an art form of its own, and nutritional protocols requires me to eat more lean protein:eek: I have complied. This process is all about sacrifice and inconvience. There are days when it has gotten on my last nerves, days when I wanted to quit, and days when I wanted to press further than I had ever gone before. Wow, what an experience, these are my babies and I am about to give birth. Giving birth to dreams, that is the kind of stuff that adds zest to this crazy thing called life. By the grace of an awesome G-d I will do it.

 Give birth to something awesome, live your dreams.

 Yesterday was harvesting time in my little corner of the globe. This crazy idea about running was planted in my heart. Truthfully I wanted to let the sucker wither and die, I was simply to busy to rock another baby. Face it I am not a runner. having long legs does not a runner make. :blah: I came up with a million reasons not to and only one good reason to do it because it was placed in my heart. So instead of aborting the little sucker, I kind of fell in love with it.

I underwent the inconvenience of training and I nutured hope and possibility. My sweat, tears, and irrational moments of angst watered the soil of my dream. My sacrifice and determination, prayers and praise served as fertilizer. Doubt, distractions, and despair were weeds I continually had to pluck out. Running became a important little plant in my garden of destiny.

So yesterday when I managed to finish my first half marathon, I was indeed one satisfied and blessed woman.

Okay I have four weeks until figure competiton and 13 weeks until my second half marathon. All I can say is :help::help::help: keep praying for me people.

:blah: Nope I haven't gotten tossed the idea of competing in a figure competition out of the window. The only show that I have even considered entering isn't until November. So what I have decided to do to add a little spice to fitness life is to train for a marathon.

Okay I am not a runner but by time I am finished I will be at least that is the plan. Stay tuned I have a feeling this is going to be a wild ride.
It has indeed been a wild ride and I have enjoyed the variety and creativity in your post leading up to your half marathon. This has been such an inspiration and I'm grateful that you have shared it hear.

Congratulations to you for this accomplishment and best of success in reaching the goals yet to come :clapping:
