Thanks for that. Yes, that's the real price of milk/eggs when you don't subscribe to factory farming and the atrocious conditions that the animals must endure.
Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any "free-range" whey, casein, or egg protein powders. What most people don't realize is that soy protein isolate has the same PDCAAS (protein quality score) of 1.0 that whey and egg have. (That's higher than either chicken or beef.) Non-GMO soy protein isolate powders are typically about $10/lb., which is roughly 400 grams of protein per lb. -- fairly economical.
