Have you always been in shape? Yes. Started training when I was 14 and have never taken any long periods of not training.

How did you get started in physique competitions? When I was young I had hopes of making a living as a Pro Bodybuilder. Then reality set in! Now I compete for fun!

Describe your training philosophy: Train Consistent, Train Smart, Train Hard, and Stay Natural!

What are your favorite exercises? Squats, Deads, DB Bench.

What is your diet like in the off season? Higher calories of good food (no junk) with a varying balance of Protein, Carbs, and Fats.

Describe your diet during contest prep: Lower calories of good food (no junk) with a varying balance of Protein, Carbs, and Fats.

What have you learned about yourself as a physique competitor? I can get very ripped if I am disciplined with my contest prep.

What are your plans for the future? To earn a Masters and Open Pro Card in 2011!

Sam. I live in Birmingham, Alabama and have competed in Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, Massachusetts, North and South Carolina, Virginia, Utah, Kentucky, Tennessee, Toronto, Montreal and Alabama. I have traveled for most of my 31 shows. Come on down, Sam, and fulfill your dream of becoming a Pro. Birmingham does have a large airport, too. LOL Old Navy
