Have you always been in shape? Yes

How did you get started in physique competitions? I saw a poster advertising a show in 1993 and randomly decided to compete. Earned PRO card on Sep-25-2010 in INBF West Coast Classic Natural Bodybuilding Competition. First PRO debut April 16, 2011 Tournament of champions, Columbus, OH.

Describe your training philosophy: I prefer to train with free weights, barbells, dumbbells, cables then machines. Building muscle from the top to the bottom for matured and thickness of the muscle tissue. Muscle can’t be built from the-bottom-to-the-top without injuring yourself, meaning lifting too heavy too soon, which is a mistake that all beginners make.

What are your favorite exercises? Squats, Bench press, Bend over rows, behind the neck barbell shoulder press, barbell arm curls, closed-grip bench press triceps, standing calves-raises, cable abs-crunches.

What is your diet like in the off season? I am clean 85% of the time with 3 days of cardio. For a show, I am doing cardio 7 days a week.

Describe your diet during contest prep: 8 meals a day: 4 protein shakes (100gm) each, brown rice, granny-smith apples, mixed vegetables (mainly broccoli), boneless/skinless chicken breast, fish cod preferred because it is very low in fat, 12 hard-boiled eggs whites no yokes, lots of distilled bottled-water (by the gallons).

What supplements have worked for you? Universal Animal Vitamin Pak, Lipo-6 fat burners, Iso-pure protein powder

What advice would you give to aspiring athletes? Train smart with proper technique and train hard, know what works for your body, eat plenty of protein and carbohydrates, drink plenty of water, get lots of rest sleep, for recovery.

What have you learned about yourself as a physique competitor? What works best for me, diet, exercise, rest sleep recovery, I am a winner, I have mastered on how to peak for a show and come out on top.

What are your plans for the future? Well I have just won my pro card in the men’s master bodybuilding WNBF, I am planning on making my first pro debut next year April 16, 2011, Tournament of Champions, Columbus, OH, hopefully appear in some magazines, get some endorsements, appear in some TV commercials, even get in some acting for movies.
