Have you always been in shape? Yes. I have always been very thin and did a lot of sports growing up including many years of dance and swimming. I eat very healthy have always had clear skin and a nice physique.
-
How did you get started in physique competitions? My boyfriend is a personal trainer and he kind of pushed me into them. I have done many bikini competitions in the past for swimsuit companies but never really thought about fitness modeling as a sport until he introduced me to it. Before I never trained to do bikini I was just skinny, but now I have much more definition.
-
Describe your training philosophy: To me diet is very important. Im not one to count calories and fat like most but I do eat as much as I can all natural and organic. Not only does it help me to feel stronger in my training but it gives me so much energy in my day. Every day you train is another day you look younger in the future.
-
What are your favorite exercises? I love to do squats and leg press exercises. Butt exercises are always the most fun to me and I love the results.
-
What is your diet like in the off season? I eat pretty much anything as long its its not fake processed food. I eat extra calories cause I would like to bulk up a little more so I have some great Mass+ Proteins.
-
Describe your diet during contest prep: Oatmeal, egg whites, chicken and no fat cottage cheese haha. Lots of protein, less carbs and little sugar.
-
What supplements have worked for you? I take creatine pills pretty regularly, glutamine, any kind of weight gain protein, and I recently started to use the Animal Pack supplements.
-
What advice would you give to aspiring athletes? Think big and train hard. Good things take time, so concentrate on your goals and step by step you will achieve them. Find experienced people to work with, help you train, teach you to pose, its much easier and more fun when you work with other people.
-
What have you learned about yourself as a physique competitor? Ive learned that there is always room for improvement, and not to give up.
-
What are your plans for the future? I took 6th place at Olympia last year in the bikini division out of 98 girls, Im going back this year and Im training hard to take 1st place. I would love to step it up and compete in the figure division so that is my next goal.
