We all want to improve our life whether it’s our profession, relationship, education, health, happiness, productivity and many others. To improve in life we would have to have personal development ideas, set goals, motivate ourselves, change our habits and behaviour, understand oneself and realize what would be the best for us and would make us happy and gives us contentment.
What factors would help you to improve your life and be happy?
Broadly I would say that improving your life depends a lot on YOUR INTEREST IN DOING THINGS and your FINANCIAL STABILTY.
If you do what you are interested in, you would be motivated enough to do your task and improve your life professionally and emotionally.
° To begin with I would suggest you take at least 7-8 hours sleep at night. A good night sleep helps you to calm down, relax and be fresh for the next day activity.
° Set short term goals ----- daily, weekly and monthly.
° Ask yourself “doing, what makes you happy .... It is so important that you do what you like to do. It is motivating enough and keeps you interested in your task and encourages you to finish it. It does not let boredom come in easily.
° Your ideas and wishes can change from time to time depending on your situation, age, maturity. That is why our goals should not be too long as they can change with time. What you might like to do at a certain time you might not like to do it after a few years. It could be because of increase in responsibilities at various at home or at work, it could be your energy levels, your interests also change with maturity.
° You need to invest in time and money together, there is no magic pill everything takes time and a certain amount of investment. You need to understand that there is no fixed pattern for things.... you have to be a bit patient and put in some capital for bigger gains.
° Your thoughts and habits matter a lot. So if you feel something is not going the right way, try changing some habits and also your thought process. Maybe you do not perceive the situation the way it should be perceived and a little change in your thought process and your attitude could make a difference. Your habits might seem fine to you but sometimes there is no harm in experimenting new methods, you might be able to get something more interesting and more encouraging. No Risk No Gain.
° Learn from your mistakes we all are humans and can make mistakes. There is nothing wrong in it, what is wrong is that mostly we do not admit it. What we need to do is along with admitting it we should improve from our mistakes by analysing where we went wrong.
° Planning --- is very important. Planning helps you perceive things better and also help you decide your goal in stages. It can help you eliminate levels which are not required and also help you organize yourself better.
° Share your goals with your friends and family: - your friends and family are a great support to you. They might help you in planning and also help you in executing it. They can encourage you and also be there for you when you need someone around. So there is no harm in sharing with your friends and asking for advice. Yes you should be sure of whom your true friends are.
° Take out things from your schedule which are taking time and are not of any use to you it could be anything. Example it could be wasting time checking your emails daily, surfing on the internet, it could be anything. Try eliminating even one thing and you will see how much time you can take out.
° Add other activities you enjoy to your life which would motivate you and keep you active for other goals.
° Some kind of an exercise regimen is very important, this would kick start your metabolism which would make u happier, energetic and excited towards your goal and a happier you. It could be a walk, a jog, yoga, gym anything. It could also be a combination of a diet and a regular exercise.
° One of the most important is to be optimistic --- we do not know what is there in our future but be hopeful and optimistic and you can do wonders
